Becky sat on the tower and said she would video us doing carve gybes. But the wind had other ideas...

I was on a XXX139 with a 6.2 but was generally underpowered with odd moments of vastly overpowered...

Sarah was on a XXX119 with a 5.8 and was in pretty much the same state. She swapped with Becky (OK for some) and took the 170 with a 5.9 and started to get going much better, planing and gybing on the inside.

I went in and changed up to a 150 with a 6.6 and came blasting back to the lagoon and gybed on that first reach. As we were now having much more fun we stayed out after the video session for a bit more blasting and gybe practise, trying to carve further round the turn as Becky had suggested.

Then it was time for the video review...

We all got tips to help us with our gybes - it's amazing how the video helps you to see what you are doing wrong over and over again...

The highlight of the whole video was Jane's perfect stance - although later on Ian told us that it is his stance not Jane's due to all his coaching - Jane seemed to think she should at least get some credit ;o) We were all waiting for her to gybe on the video but she just kept stepping off - she set up perfectly for the gybe and then just - got off...

Another great day.
